Do you wanna get rocked? That's what we're all REALLY asking ourselves all the time, isn't it? Well, maybe Def Leppard's 1992 album 'Adrenalize' can provide some answers. For this one we are joined by special guest Darren who is Dave's oldest friend and a massive Lep fan from the 'Hysteria' album days. But what did he think of this follow up? What did Dave and Krister think for that matter?
Spotify playlist for this one is here and social media links are all at our website www.pclpodcast.com.I suppose a rock's out of the question?

S03E02 Bruce Springsteen 'Human Touch'
Wednesday Feb 26, 2020
Wednesday Feb 26, 2020
The Boss is back with a long awaited album. In fact he's back with two released on the same day, but we're just looking at the one that got to number on in March 1992, Human Touch. Neither Dave nor Krister knew this one at all, or much Bruce Springsteen in general if truth be told outside of the big hits. Will this be the one that converts them to megafans?
Outside of Bruce we talk about a LOT of other fantastic music that was being released in this time period by acts such as Body Count, PJ Harvey and Tool. Check out our weekly Spotify companion playlist with lots of the good stuff on there. And links to various other stuff and social media are all at our website www.pclpodcast.com

S03E01 Wet Wet Wet 'High On The Happy Side'

Wednesday Feb 19, 2020
Good crikey, it's Season 3 of Pop, Collaborate & Listen! And what better way to start off our journey through 1992's number one albums than Wet Wet Wet? Well, probably loads of ways to be honest but we don't make the rules. We just listen to what the pop charts dictate and then whinge about it for an hour or so each week.
Neither Dave nor Krister had ever heard this whole album before because of course not so it really was a journey into the unknown. Obviously we were familiar with the big 80s hits that the band had released and with their seemingly neverending cover version of 'Love Is All Around' but this album was unfamiliar territory. Did it convert us to a newfound love of Pellow & Co? We shall have to see.
During our conversation we look at an absolute ton of other releases that came out in the six week period at the start of 1992, there are some absolute treasures that we chat about like KISS, Daisy Chainsaw and Sultans of Ping just for starters. Seriously though, check out this week's Spotify playlist of the whole Wet Wet Wet album and all the other stuff we talk about - it's fantastic. And as usual please do feel free to get in contact via any method you choose, lots of links to do so at our website www.pclpodcast.com

S02E21 Hip Hop in 1991
Wednesday Jan 08, 2020
Wednesday Jan 08, 2020
What a year it was for hip hop in 1991 - so many massive and great albums being released, the mainstream beckoning and big changes coming to the scene. So we're dedicating a whole episode to looking at what was going on and deciding on what we reckon our favourite albums are from the year.
We are joined for this one by a special guest, the brilliant Rob Mulholland - stand up comic, professional northerner and big fan of hip hop. Check out his website to see when he's next coming to a venue near you, send him abuse on Twitter and definitely check out his hour long show 'Too Big To Fail' free to watch on youtube.
Do be warned that there's probably even more swearing than usual in this one given that we're playing a load of hip hop tracks, and just the fact that there are three of us instead of two. That's simple swearing mathematics.
We've chucked a load of tunes that we talk about into a playlist that you can listen to on Spotify and as usual do check out our social media platforms to get in contact, all links at www.pclpodcast.com

S02E20 Michael Jackson 'Dangerous'
Wednesday Jan 01, 2020
Wednesday Jan 01, 2020
Let's get this out of the way at the start - if you don't want to hear a few pretty bad taste jokes as MJ's expense then maybe skip this one. We don't need the hassle. But if you do want to hear two people who genuinely liked the previous Michael Jackson albums discuss his first release of the 90s then step this way!Lots of chat about the new direction that producer Teddy Riley has taken things - for better or for worse? Also some chat about U2's 'Achtung Baby', a comparison of MJ to Megadeth and whether or not the special effects in the 'Black Or White' video still look any good these days.
The Spotify companion playlist is available here and everything else is probably linked on www.pclpodcast.com. Go to Itunes and leave us a review by the way!

S02E19 "Genyasis": A little Enya, a lot Genesis 'We Can't Dance'
Wednesday Dec 18, 2019
Wednesday Dec 18, 2019
While we know our own rules - we listen to and talk about every number one album of the 90s so long as it's not a compilation - we just simply could not find enough to say about Enya's 'Shepherd Moons' album and so we give it the most cursory of five minute conversations before moving onto the next on our list which is 'We Can't Dance' by Genesis. For obvious reasons, namely that we weren't 40 year old men at the time, neither of knew this album from when it was released. But, being 40-ish year old men now, can we finally appreciate Phil, Mike and Tony?
We get the chance to talk about other stuff like U2, Altern-8 and Sonata Arctica this week and you get to hear Krister's lovingly prepared Enya Megamix. Lucky you.The companion Spotify playlist is available to listen to as always and check out the website, facebook page and twitter if you haven't already.
